Working completely by hand in her Long Island, NY studio, native New Englander Donya O’Brien creates fanciful necklaces and earrings from recycled findings and fabrics that are oh so retro, yet, utterly fresh in their form. (You may recognize her signature work from her offerings at "Anthropologie".) We are  pleased to now be able to offer her work at wholly tara...necklaces and earrings alike are wonderful (prices range from $24 - $90). Each design is made with great care and style to incorporate vintage findings, notions and repurposed textiles; old beads and more create designs that are truly wearable art. Designs are done in very limited quantities since they are made with vintage findings, do not miss an edition.  Here's to the textures and color fantasies of her work!

Saturday night, JUNE 4th, is this year’s one-night event that has been featured in Country Living magazine and (twice!) in The Boston Globe:  the SQUAM ART FAIR.

There are over 36 vendors from across the US, Canada and the UK.  And, did we mention there will be free beer and RAFFLE PRIZES?

Grand prize is a brand-new SINGER sewing machine and exquisite handmade quilt.

The fair provides a wide array of artwork and handmade goods (paintings, prints, photographs, jewelry, housewares, clothing, vintage linens and letterpress).  For the knitters and crocheters, there will also be outstanding wools, yarns and knitted goods on sale including some that traveled all the way from Scotland.

Free and open to the public, the Squam Art Fair is the ending celebration of SQUAM ART WORKSHOPS (SAW), a four-day arts retreat that attracts attendees from all around the world.

If you can join us (hooray!) the fair runs from 7:30pm – 10:00 pm.
